Announcement - Rise Up Australia Party
The announcement of Rise Up Australia Party was made on the steps of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal building at noon on Wednesday 22 June 2011 by Dr Daniel Nalliah. This date marks the fourth anniversary of an historic victory for freedom of speech in Australia, after a complaint in 2002 by the Islamic Council of Victoria against Dr Nalliah and Dr Scott, which resulted in a five year court battle. Dr Nalliah will also be observing a minutes silence during his address, in respect for the Australian diggers who have sacrificed their lives to protect our freedoms in Australia.
Dr Nalliah said the Rise Up Australia Party was formed to protect Freedom of Speech, other Freedoms and the erosion of Christian values in Australia, as a balance for the left wing agenda and to stem the tide of divisive forces associated with multi-culturalism. He said the newly formed Party was committed to keeping the Australian way of life strong.
Dr Nalliah said "It is with great joy that we announce the formation of this new political Rise Up Australia party, a party for all people who embrace Australia as home. This Party is totally committed to protecting the Australian way of life and our Christian heritage upon which Australia was founded. While acknowledging some positive aspects of multiculturalism, Dr Nalliah said there had been an overwhelming amount of negativity and division stemming from multiculturalism, and cited Europe as an example of how it has led to violent ethnic enclaves. The leaders of both Germany and the UK have recently made statements denouncing multiculturalism as a failure."
The recent outburst in Sydney against a NSW police officer by a Muslim woman wearing the burqa, and the subsequent decision by the court of appeal to clear her on the grounds that she could not be identified, is a striking example of the failure of multiculturalism in our nation of Australia. The violence demonstrated outside the courts against the media by Muslim supporters of this woman is a real mockery to the Australian way of life, justice and peace. Furthermore, it prevents the ability for our police force to enforce law and order.
"Immigrants who make Australia their home, while free to celebrate their own ethnic backgrounds, must respect Australian culture. Rise Up Australia Party is totally opposed to the introduction of Sharia law in Australia – it is incompatible with our democracy and particularly curtails the civil rights and freedoms of women" said Dr Nalliah.
"Ever since I have called Australia home, I have watched secular left-wing movements in Australia pushing their agendas through Parliament and taking Australia away from her Christian foundations. These undergirding foundations are what have made Australia such a great democracy in which to live, and one of the most stable and peaceful countries in the world.
The Rise Up Australia Party Board of Directors is comprised of medical doctors, business men and women, housewives and Christian ministers and people with many years of experience in the political arena. Dr Nalliah said they are ready for a twenty (20) year fight to take back Australia and keep it Australian and are seeking to recruit in excess of 500 members to register as a party to contest the next Federal election.
"We cannot let the extreme left parties such as the Greens to control the balance of power in government. It is time to stand up for our nation, to be proud and patriotic, and to protect our Australian way of life before it is too late. It is time for Australia to rise up" said Dr Nalliah.
The party is registered with the Electoral Commission but is happy to receive applications for those who wish to become a member and or financial supporters of the Party. Payment is only $20 per person, $30 per couple. Please sign up.
